-Earth Dragon Balls-
- Must gather all seven Dragon Balls.
- Chant required (Come out, Shenlong, and grant my wish!).
- Only one wish per summoning of Shenlong.
- After the wish is made, Shenlong will disappear, the Dragon Balls will turn to stone and scatter themselves; they will remain stone for one year.
- The Shenlong cannot grant any wishes that are beyond the powers of the creator of the Dragon Balls (The Nameks).
- You can revive anyone or any group of people who fit a certain criteria, if they did not die of natural causes (like age).
- If a person has been revived by Shenlong before, the person cannot be revived again.
After Kami-sama re-merged with Piccolo, Shenlong became no more and the Dragon Balls turned into stone. To revive the Dragon Balls, Goku invited Dende from Namek to be the new Kami-sama. Dende was able to revise the rules and restrictions of Shenlong's power in the revival process.

- (B) If only one wish is made during the summon and the Dragon Balls turn to stone, they will remain stone for four months, and then Shenlong may be summoned again.
- The Shenlong cannot grant any wishes that are beyond the powers of the creator of the Dragon Balls.
- You can revive anyone or any group of people who fit a certain criteria, if they did not die of natural causes.
- If a person has been revived by Shenlong before, the person cannot be revived again.

- Wishes must be said in the Namek language.
- Only three wishes per summoning of Puronga (Eternal Dragon of Namek). After the wishes are made, Puronga will disappear, the Dragon Balls will turn to stone and scatter themselves; they will remain stone for 130 days.
- Puronga cannot grant any wishes that are beyond the powers of the creator of the Dragon Balls.
- You can revive anyone multiple times, as long as he/she did not die of natural causes.
- You can only revive one person per wish. NOTE: Dragon Balls of Namek are more powerful and much bigger than the ones on Earth
The Black Star Dragonballs appeared mysteriously around the time of the beginning of Dragonball GT. They are the same as the regular Dragonballs except they have black stars instead of orange. The Black Star Dragonalls appeared because the Z crew and others made to many wishes and because of this the the negative energy and all the evil harnessed to form the Dragonballs. The Dragonballs are able to grant any wish, but instead of good it reverses it to evil. The Dragonballs are also guarded by seven small dragon's and whatever area they are in they do nothing but destroy and cause havoc.
- Once these Dragonballs are used they destroy whatever planet they are on at that time
